My speciality is in metrology and instrumentation as well as ISO17025 quality systems.

I have over 40 years of experience in calibration laboratories and I am a partner in the largest commercial ISO17025 accredited calibration laboratory in Southern Africa. My training and experience includes the fields of temperature, humidity, mass, photometry, electrical and frequency.

I have served on the board of directors of the NLA-SA (National Laboratory Association of South Africa) for over 12 years. I am also a technical assessor for SANAS (South African National Accreditation Service) and I serve on several SANAS Specialist Technical Committees and their working groups.

Course writer, Presenter & Trainer

Over the years I have learned to extract pertinent information from multiple sources and to disseminate it coherently to the target audience via a published paper or presentation.

I have presented a paper at almost every annual NLA-SA Test & Measurement Conference since 2006 , several of which have won awards at the conference.

On behalf of various organisations, I have presented face-to-face and online courses. In most cases the course material was developed specifically for the client.

Software and Website Developer

I have been writing software since before the Internet was called 'the Internet'.

My inital experience was with BASIC, COBOL and FORTRAN but moving with the times I now specialise in PHP, MySQL, HTML, Javascript and Python. Completed projects include simple and complex webdesign, web-based databases and instrumentation monitoring and control.

Voice Artist

As part of course development I produced and narrated several training videos. This has opened up an exciting new sphere of opportunities as a voice-over artist.

Narration, audiobooks, corporate training and promotional spots are all occasions for the use of a voice-over artist. I can produce the tracks independently in my studio, or work under direction with the client.

Various tones and accents allow for the use of a single artist in several roles.
